Our eighth Let It Grow Wild! contest is in full swing, and again you can compete in a full head or facial hair category. Tempting tangle, beehive, rocker head, or chrome dome hairstyle? Loose stubble, soup-strainer, or wooly mammoth mustache? Will simplicity win over avant-garde? Candidates are conjuring styles that will impress the judges and campaigning for votes. It will be definite fun and benefit our thirteenth conservation work trip to Costa Rica.
Let It Grow Wild competitors will create the finishing touches on their hairstyle on April 6. Judges will consider “before” photos of each candidate while carefully assessing in-person final presentations, developed after months (or hours) of cultivation and growth. The winners will be chosen based on the degree of change in appearance, personal style, length and mass of facial hair (for facial hair contestants), and the number of votes from fans, friends, and the awestruck audience at the celebration and judging dinner on April 6.
