Organizational Partners

Since our inception we have responded to the needs of local social service and conservation organizations. Some we partner with regularly, providing food, clothing and holiday gifts for the families of The Upper Valley Haven and LISTEN, recycling cell phones with WISE to help women and children surviving domestic or sexual violence, and doing renovation and weatherizing projects with COVER. We also help organizations with special projects, such as helping the Vermont Chapter of the Nature Conservancy rid a specific watershed area of non-native, invasive plant species.

Audubon Vermont was founded at the start of the last century – one of America’s earliest organizations dedicated to conservation of birds, other wildlife and essential habitat. Audubon has had a grassroots presence in Vermont since the founding of “The Audubon Society of Vermont” in 1901, and has grown to over 4,000 members with 8 volunteer chapters throughout the state.

Cover Home repair and the ReCover Store: Our mission is to build community and foster hope through cooperation and fellowship among all home repair and reuse participants.

Listen provides services and support to meet the critical needs of Upper Valley individuals and families.  The purpose of the agency is to: “…involve the low-income citizens of Lebanon and surrounding areas in programs which will improve their ability to meet the economic, cultural, social and environmental needs of their families…”

The Nature Conservancy — the leading conservation organization working around the world to protect ecologically important lands and waters for nature and people.

The Ottauquechee Natural Resources Conservation District, founded in 1944, helps individuals, groups and communities in eighteen towns in Windsor County, and one in Rutland County, by providing education, information and technical assistance relating to conservation issues.

Sustainable Woodstock seeks to inspire, organize and empower community members to integrate environmentally, economically and socially responsible practices in all aspects of their lives to create a sustainable community.

The Upper Vally Haven “Be kind. Be thoughtful. Be Helpful.”  For more than 28 years, The Haven has provided shelter for homeless families, and food and other services to those in need, so that they may find encouragement to make positive change on their own.

WISE — Women’s Information Services.
Our mission is to empower victims of domestic and sexual violence and stalking to become safe and self-reliant through crisis intervention and support services. WISE advances social justice through community education, training and public policy.
