Organizations
Since our inception we have responded to the needs of local social service and conservation organizations. Some we partner with regularly, providing food, clothing and holiday gifts for the families of The Upper Valley Haven and LISTEN, recycling cell phones with WISE to help women and children surviving domestic or sexual violence, and doing renovation and weatherizing projects with COVER. We also help organizations with special projects, such as helping the Vermont Chapter of the Nature Conservancy rid a specific watershed area of non-native, invasive plant species.

Our mission is to empower victims of domestic and sexual violence and stalking to become safe and self-reliant through crisis intervention and support services. WISE advances social justice through community education, training and public policy.

Listen provides services and support to meet the critical needs of Upper Valley individuals and families. Listen was incorporated in the winter of 1972. The original purpose of the agency was to: “…involve the low-income citizens of Lebanon and surrounding areas in programs which will improve their ability to meet the economic, cultural, social and environmental needs of their families…”
The Upper Vally Haven “Be kind. Be thoughtful. Be Helpful.”
For more than 28 years, The Haven has provided—without judgment, and in an attitude of loving kindness—shelter for homeless families, and food and other services to those in need, so that they may find encouragement to make positive change on their own.
