Join us at para la Tierra 2014!
A series of three events on behalf of the three-wattled bellbird, the rain forest, songbirds of New England, and our future. We’re working to conserve and reforest migratory corridors for neotropical birds (our migrating songbirds) and native rain forest species.
Beauty for the Bellbirds is a display of youth art to celebrate the creativity, commitment to stewardship and the multi-generational and supportive spirit of our local and global communities. It takes place at the Woodstock Art Festival on the Woodstock Green, VT. The art show is open on Saturday, September 6, from 10:00-5:00 and Sunday, September 7, from 10:00-3:00.
Bonk for the Bellbirds is a sidewalk chalk drawing extravaganza in downtown Woodstock, VT. Artists of all ages and styles take advantage of this wonderful chance to reflect on the magnificence of the environment, the importance of conservation, and pura vida! Come draw or watch the artists on Friday, September 12 from 5:00 until dusk, and Sunday morning, September 13, from 9:00-noon.
para la Tierra is a big finale on Sunday evening, September 14, at the Woodstock Inn and Resort Country Club, where we host a five course gourmet meal prepared by Chefs Robert Meyers and Lani Meyers of Three Tomatoes Trattoria, Chef Nick Mahood of the Woodstock Farmers’ Market (and formerly Cloudland Farms Restaurant), and owner chef Michael Bellefeuille, of A Moveable Feast. The reception features a selection of artisan and specialty cheeses donated by Provisions International. The night’s fun includes a full silent auction and an exclusive presentation of CTWK reforestation efforts.
