Grow Some: Feed Many 2017!
Help to promote Food Justice in our communities!
We grow vegetables – thousands of pounds of them – but not enough to make local produce available throughout the winter months. If we engage you and others in our communities to grow a plant, or a few plants, or a row of a winter root storage vegetable and donate your harvest of the produce to our Food Justice Root Cellar, we can expand the variety and amount of vegetables and fruit that we deliver each week during our cold season.
What might you grow? Beets, Carrots, Potatoes, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Broccoli, Brussels Sprouts, Garlic, Onions, Turnips, Rutabagas, Parsnips, Apples, Pears, Winter Squash (cool room storage). Our goal is to fully stock our Food Justice Root Cellar and deliver even more vegetables to area food shelves and Farm-to-School Programs next winter.
