How often do Chapters meet?
Chapters of Change the World Kids will hold regular meetings and usually keep minutes of the meetings. Some Chapters meet once a week, some meet every two weeks, and every Chapter meets at least once a month.
Who runs the group?
All Change the World Kids’ Chapters are run by the members; however, an adult may volunteer or be paid by the group to help, particularly if this enables the members to do more work or the group to be more organized.

What is the name of our Chapter?
You are called Change the World Kids! All materials produced by your Chapter will identify your group as “Change the World Kids, Your Town, Your State”, for instance, Change the World Kids, Woodstock, VT. You can have a nickname, if you’d like.
How do you account for money that you raise for projects?
Money raised for your initiatives will be managed by your Chapter. If you work within a school or other non-profit organization, a resolution must be passed to sanction your group as part of that organization; your accounting will be reported to that organization. If you are an independent group, you are responsible for accounting for your financial activities. You establish yourself as a non-profit organization, set-up your own checking account, keep records, and file a non-profit tax return. You write thank you notes (and tax acknowledgements) for any donations that you receive. This is important!
All money for Bosque para Siempre or Teens Connecting Continents will be sent to the Charter office in Woodstock, which will send tax acknowledgement letters when necessary.
What if our Chapter wants to have sales to fundraise?
Your Chapter can have sales as often as is fun and necessary. Items for sale range widely from Chapter to Chapter, but we do not promote illegal drugs, alcohol or weapons, and we stay away from published profanity.
If you want to sell Monteverde Cooperative coffee, you will order it through the Charter group (to make sure that the farmers and co-op get the best deal). It will be shipped to your Chapter directly. If you want to sell any of the items on the website as part of your fundraising, contact the Charter group.
